The Development of Packaging for Products of Ban Chiang Community Enterprise Group To Increase Competitiveness and Reduce Economic Inequalities

Abstract
This research aims to (1) to develop packaging and (2) to test market for packaging of Ban Chiang community enterprise group, Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province, Thailand. Consequently, community enterprise groups can increase value of its products and competitive potential by integrative research process combining qualitative and quantitative research methods. The sample groups that were used in this research include (1) 10 stakeholders were brought into this research for analyzing desires for packaging and Focus Group Discussion was used as the data collection method and (2) The test of market for logos and packaging using 100 product consumers of local fabric community enterprise group and Questionnaires as a research tool. The research results show that (1) community enterprise group and consumers desired the development of packaging that can convey Ban Chiang identity and used color tones of Ban Chiang to create the uniqueness of the product, as well as easily for consumers to understand and memorize the products, leading to the development results evaluated by experts was at very good level and (2) market test from overall consumer opinions on product packaging of Ban Chiang Community Enterprise Group is at a very satisfied level.
