Paper Title
Dynamic Response on an Offshore Windpower Generator Subject to Earthquake and Waves

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine for an offshore structural system to investigate if it may sustain a strong ground motion alomg with wave forces. The study on this offshore structural system may help the development of offshore wind power system, which is currently promoted in great effort by many governmentsin order to overcome the growing seriousness on both the electricity shortage and climate change problems. The object of the research is an offshore template structural system, which is more flexible compared to the heavy mass type offshore structural system. In the mechanical analysis, material properties must be taken into accounts for a flexible structural system and therefore, it will take more effort for the analytical works. For a flexible type template structural system, there are many advantages except for a lower cost for the construction. However, drawbacks are also inevitable such as the low frequency but large amplitude vibration, corrosion problem and underwater maintenance. This study uses a numerical method to analyze the proposed offshore model structure when it is subject to wave force and earthquake excitations.
