CASE REPORT ON THE USE OF SEARCH-BASED APPLICATIONS TO IMPROVE SAFETY, QUALITY AND RELIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ECS-BASED PRODUCTS

Abstract
Abstract - The constantly increasing use of electronic components and systems with ever higher intelligence and performance entails the requirement to analyze the data they constantly generate in almost real-time, to put them into a suitable context with each other and with surrounding data to ultimately make intelligent decisions in order to improve safety, quality, and reliability of products. The following article is intended to show how such tasks can be solved using search-based applications as a software basis. Research approaches from industrial applications are shown as case studies in which machine, sensor and field data are processed using this technology.
