SMES GROWTH IN SAUDI ARABIA: THE ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA ADOPTION AND THE IMPACT OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Abstract
Abstract - In terms of Gross Development Product contribution and creation of jobs, the significant contribution of small and medium companies (SMEs) to the growth of socioeconomics has been highly positive. The benefits of SMEs can be seen in both industrialized and developing economies. The primary goal is to evaluate social media usage as a promotional catalyst for the sustainable development of small businesses. However, the performance of SMEs in developing nations falls short of expectations; as a result, it is critical to comprehend the elements that promote productivity. To achieve this goal, 1000 designed questionnaires were generated for the exercise using upfront and online surveys. The data was collected using a quasi-sampling technique, with 144 respondents being entirely correct for data analysis. According to research results, the use of social media as an advertising platform has a significant impact on a company's financial performance, business inspiration, customers' viewpoint and interest, and an expansion in market share, according to research results using (Hamouda, 2018). Additionally, this is the main factor in expressing a positive development in their promotional and marketing efforts in the mainstream market. The study's findings are valuable to both marketers and proprietors of SMEs and the research on social media marketing in particular. This study emphasizes the need for businesses to invest in digital marketing channels and efficiently using them to remain successful in the long run and ensure the firm's performance and sustainability.
