SMART ONLINE VOTING SYSTEM THROUGH FACE RECOGNITION USING EF-SVM MODEL

Abstract
Abstract - India is the world's largest democratic and republic country, where the government system is designed to allow people to participate in decision making. The Election Commission conducts free, fair, transparent, and impartial elections to enable people to express their will freely and fairly. In the past, elections were conducted using ballot papers, but these days Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) are used to prevent fraud. However, EVMs are not transparent or verifiable, and each EVM can record up to 3840 votes, requiring more storage. To address these issues, the Smart Voting System through Face Recognition has been introduced, which captures the users images and store it in database to be used for verification in future and uses a face recognition model which is developed using EigenFaces, FisherFaces and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. This system ensures that only verified and authenticated voters are allowed to vote and hence reducing fraud cases. Keywords - Smart Voting System, Facial Recognition, Electoral System, Results Live
