Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Human Resource Management in Financial Organizations in Lagos State

Abstract
Human resource management ensures that the organization has enough quality and quantity of employees to navigate to success. However, a pandemic could be the undoing of the work human resource managers have done to maintain the quality and quantity of employees in an organization. The study therefore examines the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on financial organizations in Lagos state. The study adopted cross-sectional design while survey was employed to draw a sample of 87 respondents who validly participated in the study. In line with the objectives of the study, three hypotheses were formulated and tested using relevant statistical tools. The adopted pearson correlation coefficient to determine the impact of covid-19 pandemic on human resource management practices. The study discovered that the pandemic introduced a change in systems of operation in organizations and these organizations adjusted accordingly. In general, the findings of this study revealed that the pandemic impacted greatly on HR practices of financial organizations in Lagos state.
