Paper Title
Improving The Stability of Hands-Free PMVS During Braking While Carrying Luggage

Abstract
In this study, we aim to improve the stability of personal mobility vehicles (PMVs) so that anyone can easilyride them. In particular, beginners are at risk of falling during braking. Therefore, we design a controller that focuses on improving stability during braking. Toward the purpose, it is necessary to analyze the behavior of braking in a simulation. After that, when persons ride on the PMV and brake it, we evaluate the braking strength according to their ability. At that time, the strength of the brakes is evaluated based on the behavior of the person using motion capture and the braking distance using distance sensors. The system integration is also considered to reduce the instability. Keywords - Personal Mobility Vehicles, Balance Ability, Brake Strength, Projection Method, Optimal Regulator.
