Paper Title
Productivity of Eggplant (Solanum melongena) using Different Foliar Fertilizer from Fermented Plant Parts

Abstract
A study on the productivity of eggplant using the different fermented foliar fertilizer was conducted at the experimental area of the Institute of Agricultural Technology, Isabela State University, Cauayan City from January 27 to April 17, 2017. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the effect of different fermented fruit and plant juices on the growth and yield of eggplant. The study was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design. The treatments were as follows: T1 – Fermented Banana, T2 – Fermented Spinach, T3 – Fermented Swamp Cabbage and T4 – CONTROL (Fermented Banana, Spinach, Swamp Cabbage). Based from the result of the study the height of the plants at 20, 40, and 60 days after transplanting were not influenced by the different foliar fertilizer from fermented plants part. Eggplants sprayed with T4 – CONTROL (Fermented Banana, Spinach, Swamp Cabbage) obtained the heaviest marketable fruits per plant. Significantly the eggplant sprayed with T4, eggplant yield per 10,000 square meters using different fermented foliar fertilizer obtained the heaviest fruit yield with 13.6 tons. Meanwhile, T2 – Fermented Spinach obtained the highest Return On Investment with 544.55%. In terms of fruit length T4 obtained the highest numerical value with 32.17 cm. The application of home-made foliar fertilizer in Eggplant production is recommended because it improved the yield. Keywords: Eggplant, Fermented, Fertilizer, Growth, Yield, Fermentation.
