Financial Literacy of Student Agents of Siblings Solutions Tagum City: Basis for Intervention Program

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate and measure the level of financial literacy of student agents of Siblings Solutions, Tagum City. The study employed a quantitative descriptive type of research. The respondents of this study were 52 student agents in Siblings Solutions, Tagum using researcher made-questionnaire to collect data. The data were statistically analysed, treated and interpreted using mean. The overall result showed that the level of financial literacy of student agents in Siblings Solutions, Tagum is high. Among the indicators of the level of Financial Literacy, Savings got the highest mean 4.06 with a descriptive equivalent of High. Financial Decision and Wealth Accumulation got the same mean 3.93 with a descriptive equivalent of High. Lastly, an intervention program is designed to raise the level of financial literacy of student agents into very high. The student agents may undergo a proper training through the lectures and seminar in order for them to learn and apply financial literacy on their daily living. Through the one-day seminar the participants will be able to share their perceptions about Financial Decisions, Savings and Wealth Accumulation.
