Are Interest Rate and Inflation of Primary Importance in the Foreign Currency Substitution Process?

Abstract
The fact that a foreign currency is traded in the economy other than domestic domestic currency is very important in terms of the risks it creates. The fact that dollarization is included in the system as a data that is not under the control of policy makers necessitates the investigation of the reasons. In this study, the size of dollarization of macroeconomic data-Turkey relations, dollarization is aimed to test the recent data. It is found that, dollarization tendency can be explained to a large extent by the main economic variables such as inflation and interest rate.
