Bottom-Up Modeling Of Power Plant Retrofit

Abstract
This study aims atboth developing bottom-up formulation and testing behaviors related with retrofit parameters to take consideration of retrofitting. Based on the formulation of OSeMOSYS which provides a wide range of flexibility in modeling energy system, some variables and equations are added and/or modified to model retrofit process. Using the realistic data and constraints of the Korean electricity sector, we validate our approach to retrofit modeling. Furthermore, influence of retrofit options on the optimal solution was analyzed by a comprehensive running of the Korean case. Our study has the contribution in view that it is the first research to model the basic retrofit process, the various retrofit options as well.
