Paper Title
Investigation of Some Parameters Effecting Electroless Ni-B Coating Thickness on 7075 Aluminum Alloy by Using Taguchi Method

Abstract
Electroless nickel-boron coating is an autocatalytic coating method whose properties and thickness on substrate material are highly dependent on some process parameters. In this paper, we investigated the effects of process temperature (80-92C), time (1- 1.5 and 2 hours) and nickel bath stabilizer type (TlNO3, Pb(NO3)2 and PbWO4) on total coating thickness by means of Taguchi design. 7075 Al alloy substrates were used in all experimental studies owing to their extensive usage in several industrial areas. As a result of Taguchi method, it was noticed that maximum Ni-B coating thickness on aluminum substrates formed in this combination of parameters: 92C, 2 h and PbWO4.
