An Investigation of Play Behaviors And Social Behaviors By Gender

Abstract
The aim of the present study is to investigate play behaviors and social behaviors by gender. The study employed a variational mixed model. The study group consisted of 109 children aged 5-6 years. Quantitative data was collected using Preschool Play Behavior Scale and Preschool Social Behavior Scale, while qualitative data was collected by semi-structured interview format. In the analysis of quantitative data, t-Test and Pearson�s correlation coefficient were used for unrelated measures. On the other hand, qualitative data collected from the study group was evaluated by a descriptive analysis. The results of the study demonstrated that the scores of rough and tumble play behaviors, physical aggression, and positive social behaviors showed a significant difference by gender.
