The Impact of Motivation Factors on Students Academic Performance of Secondary Schools in Gombe State, Nigeria

Abstract
One of the tenets of the Human Approach is that when People are happy (Satisfied), there will be high productivity. This means that the much cried about of the falling standard of Education or rather fall in the performance of students may partly have to do with The perceptions of teachers on the impact of Motivational factors on students academic performance of Secondary Schools in Gombe State the job satisfaction and dissatisfaction on the parts of the Teachers. The perceptions of teachers on the impact of Motivational factors on students academic performance of Secondary Schools in Gombe State has been uncovered in this paper. The Researcher Designed and administered a total number of 300 copies of Questionnaires of which 250 were return and analysed. The questionnaire was re-designed by expert in Educational Administration and Planning Unit of Federal University Kashere. Three null hypotheses were formed and tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation, all the hypotheses were rejected meaning that there is significant relationship between Motivation of Teachers and academic performance of Secondary School Students, there is significant relationship between motivation and Student academic performance. Recommendations were made some amongst others are Teachers in Gombe State should be motivated; should be given adequate Salary and should be parts of the Owners occupiers as others do so that they can own houses of their own.
