Paper Title
Combustion And Emissions Of Palm Oil Methyl Esters Blend Fuels In Liquid Fuel Burner

Abstract
This paper presents an experimental works on palm biodiesel blend fuels during combustion using high swirling flow in liquid fuel burner. The non-oxygenated diesel fuel is compared as baseline with different percentages of biodiesel blend fuels using axial swirler to demonstrate the effect of emissions inside the combustion chamber. The significance of center recirculation zone inside the combustion chamber is to ensure a good mixing of air and fuel in order to get better emissions performances. The paper focuses on the combustion performances of biodiesel blends fuel with palm biodiesel fuel in various blend percentages. The emission results of POME Carotino biodiesel blends fuel were presented from lean up to rich region. Overall, the NOx and CO emissions have similar trend with diesel fuel in rich region. The results show that the POME B25 has the best emissions of NOx and CO emissions due to low density and viscosity of the blends compared with other blends.
