CHARACTERISTICS OF REDUCED GRAPHENE OXIDE WITH SILVER NANOPARTICLES COMPOSITE COLLOIDS PREPARED BY DIELECTRIC FLUID AND ETHANOL

Abstract
Abstract - This paper used an Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) to perform the Electrical Spark Discharge Method (ESDM) at normal temperature and pressure, used 95% ethanol or deionized water (DW) to reduce the graphene oxide (rGO) powder. It also used silver (Ag) metal as electrodes to perform the ESDM without any additional chemical agents. The results of two products were analyzed and compared. The characteristic wavelengths of the reduced graphene oxide-nano-silver colloid prepared by dispersing the reduced graphene oxide powder in the deionized water were 265 nm and 394 nm. The characteristic wavelength of the reduced graphene oxide-nano-silver colloid prepared by dispersing the reduced graphene oxide powder in the ethanol was 265 nm, the silver characteristic peak of 394 nm was absent. The Zeta potential of the reduced graphene oxide-nano-silver colloid prepared by using deionized water to disperse the reduced graphene oxide powder was -38.5 mV, that of the reduced graphene oxide-nano-silver colloid prepared by using ethanol to disperse the reduced graphene oxide powder was -44.1 mV. TheTransmission electron microscop(TEM) analysis results showed the lamellar distribution of rGO of rGO-Ag(DW) colloid. The lattice distance of the material was 0.23 nm, as well as the lamellar distribution of rGO of rGO-Ag(ethanol) colloid. The lattice distance of the material was 0.232 nm, and the crystal orientation of X-ray diffractometer(XRD) corresponding to the lattice distance was (111), proving that the material was silver nanoparticles.
