Paper Title
PHOTOCATALYTIC ANTIBIOTIC DEGRADATION USING GRAPHITIC CARBON NITRIDE

Abstract
Abstract - The graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) was prepared through thermal polymerization. For physical, chemical, and thermal steps; sonication, H2SO4, and temperatures (450- 5500C), respectively were used. Structure and morphology of g-C3N4 were revealed using XRD, FTIR, PL etc. Owing to higher light-harvesting ability and charge carrier separation efficiency; photocatalytic activities of exfoliated g-C3N4 towards antibiotic degradation was more effective than bulk g-C3N4 under visible light irradiation. Lower PL intensity and a smaller arc value in the EIS confirmed the reduced recombination of the electron and hole pairs in exfoliated g-C3N4 photocatalyst. The key reactive species involved in enhanced photocatalytic activity of exfoliated g-C3N4 are Keywords - Antibiotics Degradation, Graphitic Carbon Nitride, Exfoliation, Photocatalysis, Wastewater Treatment
