A DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS APPROACH TO DETERMINE PRODUCTS FOR ORGANIC AGRICULTURE CLUSTERING IN TOKAT, TURKEY

Abstract
Abstract - Within the framework of the strategies set out in the Tenth Development Plan and the DOKAP (Eastern Black Sea Regional Development Administration) Action Plan, there are a lot of studies and projects to analyze the current economic situation, problems, opportunities and potential development areas of entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems of the DOKAP region, projecting studies for the areas of priority intervention, establishing a strategic road map; to increase innovation and entrepreneurial capacity, competitiveness, income level and sustainable development in the region. In this study, a data envelopment analysis (DEA) approach is used for determining organic agriculture products for clustering in Tokat. It is seen that vine leaf and tomato are the products to focus on for clustering strategies. The interview analysis yielded that other products are also feasible but should be financially and governmentally supported.
