Paper Title
Malusdomestica Vinegar A Novel Green Inhibitor For Acid Corrosion Of Api 5l

Abstract
API 5L is steel pipe for pipeline transportation systems in the petroleum and natural gas industries. API 5L is suitable for conveying gas, water, and oil. Because of its working conditions, this steel needs to be corrosion resistant, and to do that green inhibitor could be used. Green inhibitors are widely used nowadays. The objective of this paper is to use vinegar of Malusdomestica as green corrosion inhibitor in order to lower the corrosion rate of API 5L. Malusdomestica vinegar is used because it is easily found in Indonesia and also antosianin. The methods of potentiodynamic polarization and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) is applied. The result showed that MalusDomestica vinegar as green corrosion inhibitor will decrease the corrosion rate of API 5L steel in 0,1 M HCl environment. Index Terms EIS, Green Corrosion Inhibitor, Malus Domestica Vinegar, Polarization.
