Gender Effects: A Case Study of Employees Satisfaction of Hotel Business Organizations in Bangkok, Thailand

Abstract
High employee satisfaction often means the high level of hotels’ success in terms of high productivity, effectiveness of organization, and low turnover rate. Hence, the future success of the hotel business of Thailand also depends on the strategies to enhance future employee satisfaction of both males and females. This main purpose of this study was to survey if gender and employee satisfaction have any relationship? The survey was conducted in various four star hotels in three major tourist destination areas of Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 300 samples were interviewed by using questionnaire. The findings revealed that there was a gender effect which means gender and level of employee satisfaction had a relationship a 0.05 level of significance. However, the value of phi coefficient was quite low which means the relationship of gender and employee satisfaction was quite low.
