Paper Title
Model Test of An Orchard Sprinkler Boat and Its Applications

Abstract
A sprinkler boat, moving forward by a reactive force associated with the ejection of the water showered from two nozzles, was used for measuring of the thrust for propelling and its traveling speed. Furthermore, the drag on the model determined in previous study was applied to predict the drag on the prototype. In present paper, 1) the relation between nozzle thrust and 2) the equilibrium of the boat speed versus the velocity of the showered water were investigated. The results showed that the measured thrust was around 80% of the calculated thrust and dependent on the velocity of the showered water and that the drag on the model can be effectively used to predict the drag on the prototype.
