Paper Title
Performance Evaluation of Broadband in Sudan

Abstract
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has recently declared that internet traffic has exceeded the nominated capacity of traffic for the first time ever since the telecom history. The corner stone of the current internet traffic is broadband. Broadband terms mean to describe recent internet connections that range from 5 to 2000 times faster than earlier internet dial-Up technologies. The present telecom trends are composed of quality of service and security (Statement 2013). The quality of service is the most efficient mean of customer satisfaction. This paper presents a unique method for broadband quality of service settings and customization, in regards to the indicators and targeted values for the broadband quality of service parameters. Moreover, the proposed quality of service parameters have been tested and evaluated for the current Sudanese networks applying the most advanced measuring tools. The key findings of the paper are recommended to be approved by the Sudanese regulatory authority, in order to be deployed by the national telecom operators.
