Paper Title
Study on the Isolation and Identification of Cloacibacterium Normanense, A Waste Water Bacterium from the Oral Cavity of Diabetic Individuals

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a common and growing global health problem which causes several complications. The aim of the present study is to investigate the occurrence of unusual bacteria in the oral cavity of diabetic individuals and non diabetic healthy controls. 200 buccal swabs each from diabetic and non – diabetic individuals were screened for the isolation of bacterial species. Morphological, biochemical and phylogenetic characterization were performed for the identification of Cloacibacterium normanense. Results revealed the presence of unusual bacteria in the oral cavity of diabetic individuals. The number of bacterial isolates obtained from diabetic individuals were more when compared to non – diabetic individuals. In- vitro antibiotic sensitivity testing was performed for Cloacibacterium normanense against Amikacin (30mcg), Amoxicillin (30mcg), Erythromycin (15mcg), Gentamicin (30mcg),Tetracycline (30mcg).
