The role of strategic management in enhancing the psychological stability of human resources Case study: financial & investment sector in Syria

Abstract
The achievement of psychological security is one of the most important psychological needs of the employees, to improve their job performance through applying the Strategic Management of Human Resources (SMHR), So this research aims to: To determine how is the strategic management of human resources in one of the public sectors in Syria - the financial and investment sector?. To know the level of psychological security of workers in this sector?. To know the nature of the relationship between the strategic management of human resources and the psychological security of its employees as well? The problem of study is reflected in the importance of the role of strategic management in achieving psychological security for human resources in the study sample, The possibility of applying the strategic management of human resources, Level of feeling of psychological security, The nature of the relationship between the strategic management of human resources and the sense of psychological security, and different demographic variables in applying the strategic management of HR The researcher used a questionnaire about the strategic management of human resources in its dimensions (human resources training, human resources performance assessment, human resource empowerment, human resources salaries and wages, human resource motivation, human resource environment) and psychological security in its dimensions (Optimism, Self confidence, Trust in social relations , Reassurance, Anxiety) on a sample of \ 90 \ employee including all administrative levels. And after analyzing the data, the results indicated to: The implementation degree of the strategic management of human resources in the public sector is average - Rate of (4.00).The level of feeling of psychological security among the employees at is average - Rate of (4.25). The results also indicated to the relationship between the strategic management of human resources and the sense of employee’s psychological security. There are no statistical differences between employees according to marital status, sex and experience. There are statistical differences between employees according to job description, but the priority was for the managers. There are clear statistical differences between employees according to educational levels. The study suggests focusing on: 1- Applying the methods of strategic management of human resources according to the right scientific concept. 2- Raising awareness the administration and training them by providing them with the latest methods of HR management. 3- Avoid differences that lead the team work to loss the employee’s psychological stability. 4- The need to inform employees that they are willing and creative. 5- Holding lectures and training sessions to raise awareness. 6- Making more studies and focusing on the role of strategic management of human resources in achieving psychological security for staff.
